Steps for managing athletic injuries of lacrosse players:

  1. Parents are welcome to email Chad Robertson with any questions or concerns about an athlete’s injury or injury status.

  2. Communication is paramount considering the only interaction we will have with the athletes is during home games

  3. If  the Athletic Trainer from Riverview Hospital evaluates an injury that needs seen by a physician they will recommend Dr. Jacobsen an Orthopedic Surgeon with RVH and Team Physician for Noblesville Schools

  4. Parents are welcome to have their child evaluated by a physician of their choice if they prefer someone other than Dr. Jacobsen

  5. If an athlete develops concussion like symptoms then they must be evaluated and cleared by a M.D. or D.O. (doctor of osteopathic medicine) before being permitted to return to play.

  6. The Athletic Trainers from Riverview Health  recommend  Amy Corrigan D.O.is a board certified family medicine physician that has completed a fellowship in sports medicine or Dr. Jacobsen for those athletes with head injuries.  Both Dr. Jacobsen and Dr. Corrigan have access to our ImPACT test results on-line.  Even though Dr. Jacobsen is an Orthopedic Surgeon he has completed a fellowship in sports medicine and one of only a few physicians certified to interpret ImPACT test results.

  7. Again, parents are welcome to have their child evaluated by a physician of their choice if that athlete suffers a concussion.
